Default Anyone changed their battery ?

Anyone changed their battery yet ? Either for a new HD one or a different replacement. Maybe a stronger battery.
I say this because even though I put my PA on a tender most of the time, last week after leaving it only 3 days unplugged it was flat.
I've seen what seem to be better performance batteries on line here. What do you think ?

• HD original 12Ah with CCA (cold cranking amps) 200A (sealed lead/acid I think)
• Gel performance 14Ah with CCA 250A

Can I just swap ? Do I have to pull out the main fuse before ?

I can't comment on compatibility, I'm pretty sure that you will need to disarm the alarm so pulling the main fuse wouldn't be a bad idea, perhaps one of the Tech's on here will be able to comment from a position of experience.

I'm thinking about installing this battery.

https://www.impactbattery.com/mhtx16...m-battery.html

1. Models with security: Disable security system.
a. Verify that fob is present.
b. Turn OFF/RUN switch to RUN.
2. Remove right steering head cover.
3. See Electrical → POWER DISCONNECT → Main Fuse → Main Fuse. Remove main fuse.
4. Models with security: Turn OFF/RUN switch to OFF.

After battery install, install main fuse and right steering head cover.

I changed the battery on my ‘15 LTD with fob on bike without pulling the main fuse with no issues.

That looks like an interesting battery technology, not seen anything like that being advertised in the UK yet to my knowledge.

I think one of the latest software updates corrected the battery drain issue. Before buying another battery that will also drain be sure you have the latest software update. It's a free service form HD.
