Just did a 1000 miles recently around 80 mph. It was fine, but gas mileage does seem to drop a bit.
80 mph indicated on my PAS is 77 per gps. The is typical for just about every harley I have ever owned.
So I usually run 80 indicated, on my PAS and my CVO. Want to watch mpg really drop? I left Slade KY at 0645 Sunday morning and took back roads to London KY, 85 per my GPS, 88 indicated. Only saw ten cars in 70 miles. When I got on I-75 south traffic was flying so I kept the speed. I was trying to beat the rain home. Took me 45 minute less to get home than the 4 hours to get there. But I used a whole lot more gas. On the way up, did it on one tank and filled once there with 4.3 Gallons. Filled 40 miles before home on the way back with 4.8 gallons.
95+, but you do need good forward observation skills to avoid tickets.
Not sure if your kidding, but if not does the bike in any way settle into a more aero and stable feel at high speed ? To me the rear feels a little squirrelly the faster I go over 60-65, (not sure Ive been too much over 80mph at my fastest) I sense it at the rear tire. (I'm not on the knobby tires). But this is my first bike so I don't have comparison.

Strange. I think this bike is very stable at 80 mph, heck I feel better on this bike at 110 mph than my road glide at 90 mph.
80 on my '00 WG. Park myself in the far left hand lane and stay there, so only one side to worry about. If car wants to pass they can move over. Not too many do so at that speed.
I hope you were being sarcastic, that slow even here in NY with speed limit of 65 will get you rear ended at worst and some road rage at least.
