That is a fantastic model. I hope it all gets sorted and you have many years of trouble free use of it.

I have one of the 'early' 2021's without any issues to complain about. The bike is an absolute blast.

Welcome to the shitbox 1250 club. Riding home from the dealer after buying it I was stranded in the fast lane of I95. It was the only time I have been truly scared on a bike. Cost me thousands of dollars to get out of it after months of problems. I understand first generations have issues but HD and the dealer were absolutely unhelpful. I have been an early adopter of many brands, some with issues, but had every complaint addressed and remedied except for HD. I wanted to support the new tech but HD have much to learn in terms of customer support and doing the right thing.

Reading this again, are you saying it cranks, but doesn't start? If so, the fuel line has probably become disconnected at the tank. Has happened to others.

Interesting, hadn’t thought of that one. Never smelled or saw any fuel. Was thinking it could possibly be the coils not allowing it to start. I didn’t check the plugs though.

Wow, I it’s a shame the MoCo didn’t step up and make it right for you.

A company that markets itself as premium should have reliable products, and excellent customer service. This is very disappointing. I hope your dealer steps up for you, and gets this resolved quickly.

The sad thing is, bad HD OEM stators isn’t a new thing. I’ve only had two Harleys. 2003 FLHTCUI100 and 2012 FLHTK. ‘03 stator went at 48 k miles. Acceptable. 2012 went at 17k miles. Disappointing.

I replaced the ‘03 stator with a Cycle Electric at an Indy. The 2012 was repaired at a dealer so they replaced it with an OEM.

Let us know if this gets resolved.

I will definitely keep this thread updated. Fortunately, my two other HD’s have been trouble free. ‘15 Road Glide Special with 27k miles; finally replaced battery this year and traded in for the PA. And an ‘08 Softail Crossbones; only issue I have with it is the brake reservoirs leak ever so slightly, and it peels the paint off of them.

Since this thread is already up, I'll update here also. My bike was bought after seeing quite a deal online at a large dealership & deciding to check it out. lol, the deal was so good I actually asked the sales manager "OK, level with me, what's the rub? What am I missing? Something is wrong, isn't it?". He replied that they were clearing out inventory due to the dealership (3 H-D locations) being sold (I verified online, it had been) to a large auto dealer & that everything used was being discounted (I walked the show room checking prices- PAs, Sportys, Touring, everything was $3K-$5K cheaper than what most dealers are currently asking) to clear inventory due to tax reasons. Many of the bikes had sat in a warehouse since 2022 (the 3 PAs including mine since Nov 2022).

My cousin bought a 2021 Street Glide Special (with the same milage as my PA-S no less- 2700) for about $3500 less than his local dealers were charging (he drove 2 hours to get it). When I returned just a few hours later with my PA-S after calling about a bunch of dummy lights coming on, the sales manager apologized profusely & got it right into the service area. He gave me a gift card for $50 to compensate for my hassle. They did a software update, cleared the codes, & said everything should be good to go. When I stopped 90 miles later to fill up, there was a wrench icon. I gave him another call. He was very apologetic & said they'd pick it up tomorrow. I mentioned that I'd noticed that it'd been charging (the gauge had read 14.1V-14.2V from what I'd seen on the way home), but that the current voltage was reading (dead on 12.0V) & that the battery dropped to 11.8 in the couple of minutes I'd been on the phone with him. The next day, even after a night on a trickle charger, it read 11.7V.

They sent a van 90 miles to my home & picked the bike up on Wednesday. They replaced the battery, then drained, filled, & bled the front & rear brakes, & tested the PA for any other issues- charging or mechanical. They're going to deliver my PA-S next week. I asked if they could wait until some parts I ordered come in at the dealership & if they could deliver them with my bike, they said "Absolutely!". So right now, even with the trouble, I'm fairly optimistic about the Pan America & the dealership I got it from.

that last bunch of updates resets the service counter/timer. My bike did the same thing with the wrench icon. They just didn’t know to reset it.

@rhorton8998 I have been through the exact same journey with my '21.
The first 2k miles it died on me around 5 times.

H-D replaced the oltage regulator, as it was faulty sand limiting the amount being passed through, resulting in the 11V which is not enough to start. (Known issue)

Then the bike died again and they replaced the stator (known issue), and at the same time I purchased and had them install an Antigravity ATX12-HD RE-START battery (forum recommend as it was more powerful than the standard one).

With all electrical components replaced, 6k miles later I have not had one electrical issue.
Hope you get yours fixed asap.
