Has anyone upgraded their chain? If so what brand and type? I don't know much about them but I know the stock one is always rusty and I am sure there are better options.

The stock chain is one of the new industrial diamond chains that was introduced on the chain driven BMW's a few years ago (guessing 2019?). Any aftermarket chain, unless they make something similar, will not be as tough.
My service advisor at Harley has a Pan AM and he told me the stock chain is crap and recommends EK Chain 530 Z3D Chain. He had it on put on his bike last year. He rides hard... wheelies a lot. No rust at all. they are not cheap. $400.
