Yeah… I’d be going with all brand new parts, but I should be able to find a Panhead replica motor that would do the job… And also have an electric start on it, and put a Rekluse clutch and Pingle airshft on it, so that would have to be part of it… First I have to convince my brother into doing it... another thing is that I don’t want any Chinese parts on it.

That last part is going to be a tough one, even a large portion of the stock factory stuff is chicom today
I cobled this together in Photoshop several years back... I know I wont be happy until I take a swing at it.. I am going to take a very serious look at commissioning my brother to get started building it...
My rendition of a Billy Bike
i 20 thousand dollar bike to build to have it be worth 1/2 when your done - been that money times
I have both my brother and my mechanic, Robin, into the project… I would purchase all the bits and pieces from Robin, gives him a slice, I will get discounts on the parts, and we will get parts that will fit together… My brother would do the assembly And fab any pieces that need it… There’s an excellent painter, upholsterer and chrome shop where he lives... Robin would build the exhaust (he built the true duels for the Panhead) and start it when She is ready… Now it just comes down to deciding whether to do it or not… I shall ponder for the summer.
We have done a bunch of cannonball units - best one expensive but worth every penny - as many customers are order guys with the bike forever and cant kick them any more this is a 1958 we just finished with progress photos
Canadian Rocky, I mean no direspect but I have a question for johnjzjz re: Cannoball e-start.
What happens to the original exhuast alignment with the e-start coming off the right side. What do you have to change/modify to get everything to work right. Seem that extra piece n the tranny cover would screw an OEM exhaust system. And I do like it over their left side e-start mods.
Only reason for asking is that I have one more bike I want to complete and want to incorporate an e-start around a chopped 49 FL build
Yea the exhaust is moved over a bit but it seems to fit up fine with the off set - I thought the same time but so. Far only a small spacing difference - as its the angle in length that makes it less of a move to the right if you get what I mean
the 16 cell lithium battery seen is 400 CCA and spins it like a honda to start can post what i buy for the job if you want
