Whoa... he found an unopened can of original paint to finish it off? That's just incredible, especially since it was a one-year color. What a story! That said, I hope it gets some mileage, and doesn't spend all its time as a display piece!

I have to wonder how much OEM paint is laying around out there, and how it winds up getting saved in the first place...

the paint from yesteryear is around BUT what we do in the trade is we do a spray out on a paint card - using what ever would have been the under coatings and then do a computer match to today paint products - everything has been changed from the thinners to the guns that shoot the paint and all of it - so that is what is done today
