I did pull the rear lifter block and the lifters looked good, just something strange that I can't figure out, how and why I could have broke the pushrod on the exhaust and bent the pushrod on the intake without having some kind of dent or mark on the tin! I appreciate all the replies though.
it does not happen because you had it on the kickstand - something came to a complete stop and caused this - the only other thing I have seen in the past is the pinion bearing failed and caused the key way to to brake and that changed the engine timing of the valves
never seen this with a pan or shovel but an evo the cam gear spun but we determined that was valve spring pressures way to high like 500 open 275 on the seat
something sent the engine timing not the distributor the engine to go off only way 2 pushrods get bent same cylinder < its like racing stuff is when you see this not a street bike
i have a pan head that i have in the shop ....guy wanted an electric ignition instead of the points...i put a dyna 2000i in it and also loaded curve two for the kick start... checked for top and bottom problems checked valves also the ignition is set at top dead center hell even the carb is good ....cant get it to kick off but once and ive been kicking for hours new plugs also please im stump
early pan distributor turns the opposite direction then the cone engines - eds E2000 sells the correct bolt in ignition
now we have adapted a dyna S dual fire to the early distributor by using the trigger removed from the original plate and re installing it in the dist hat -- then we turned around backwards the point rubbing block a little mod needed and set the timing on the rear cylinder to the front timing - but you may want a plug and play its easyer
