Surprised you never looked inside for the bungs. Before I bought my 62 that was the first thing I did when I took the gas cap off! Of course mine didn't have them

Didn't make the connection when I looked inside and saw them for some reason. Should have tho cuz my 49 EL is tank shift. Brain wasn't engaged at the time.

Anyone using the Coker double whitewall tires? They are the only brand I can find the the similar to the older type that were run.

the only tire I will buy for a bike ( that is going to be ridden and you don't want to die ) is the avon 500 X 16 speedmaster - all the rest are look alike that are skittish in the corners for get completely riding in the rain

that's my take could any of the others be ok maybe but been on lots of bikes with tires that I would not put on a garbage pail

Thanks. Just looked up Amazon (and others). Shows the AVON AM7 Safety Milage MKII but a couple of sites state it is recommended only for the rear?

John have you run these with the grooved highway pattern on the Interstates. Do they track well enough for you? I avoid superslab when I can but I am stuck with it for some stretches of road trying to get out of town.
