HD Archives now only goes back to 1973, so they can't help you with your 64.

Is this new?

I called about my 1970 about 3 years ago, they gave me every date they had from motor assembly to bike shipping and to which dealership. The only thing they didn't have was original color.

Architect Hi,
Please share with me a telephone number or email to use? I would like to try and get similar information.

Best regards,
Kelvin

I called the HD Museum in Milwaukee, asked to have a VIN search performed for a vintage HD, they transferred me to a guy that gave me everything over the phone. Some people have gotten the info in a letter, was not offered to me and I never called again.

I called Harley Cares (customer service) this year, maybe that's the difference. They had microfiche going back to 73 only: 800 258 2464.

Called them last year on my 62, they still had the build docket on it. My 66 they had nothing. Its hit and miss what they have but worth a try.

That number although it leads to the museum, the lady I spoke with just now had no idea about this service.....the museum has no info on old bikes. Maybe it's her first day on the job.

She gave me another number. 1 800 258 2464, said punch number 3 then 7 on the menu. This number got me nowhere either.

After being bounced back and forth I managed to get two contact names of the people I need to talk with. One of them sounded familiar like it was the guy that gave me the info on the 62 and the lack of info on the 66. Maybe my 48 will turn out to be Arthur Davidsons personal bike
