Cant' speak to bike or price but the location (La Honda) is about a 35 minute drive north of me. Great area to ride with lots of redwood trees. Unfortunately the people who live there are uber rich and think that no one other than them should be able to pass thru their encalve. I would bet the owner hasn't a clue about the bike. Maybe he thinks he can pawn it off on someone with the same amount of money as he cuz you need lots and lots of new world money to live in that area (even by California standards). You can only live in Atherton (a few miles away and down in the flatlands) if you have old California money.
I remeber when there were loads of ex cop panheads and some knuckles bought from South America and shipped to Sweden in the seventies.
All exploded in '69 with the film Easy Rider.
They were cheap but still fetched a lot of money compared to a brit bike.
Imported by creative guys in and around Stockholm, financing their own bikes that way.
All of them became choppers.
Suprisingly a lot of them still alive today, but in many cases the original builder have passed away years ago.
I remember seeing them unrestored bikes dreaming of buying one, but money was to tight...
