New ones are cheaper then parts - also change the top caps on the top tree holding the tubes up - they have a vent umbrella inside - they thought the baffles were clogged causing the new seals to again leak right away - its the umbrella in the top cap rusted shut
so V twin sells that stuff and anyone else listing they do also is selling his stuff
Thanks for the pics and info.....First things first....Upon disassembly, parts are missing from the dampener assemblies, a stud hole for the end cap for the axle has been wallered out and tapped 3/8-24, and the fender mount holes were helicoiled wrong....I won't bore ya with other details!

That’s every day in the shop - a special kind of stupid exist when the wrenches are thrown down to make it happen in moron land
I did figure out why the p,o, tore the baffle parts out. He had 4 over tubes on it, but instead of buying the correct springs, he put 2 slugs in to make up the difference!

The slugs or plastic tubes is how its done and you cut them to length depending on the bike and ride height. Progressive sends white PVC plastic pipes with their springs and you have to remove the baffles to make it work. Thats the first thing I thought when I saw the baffles were removed.
