does anyone know where I can get a good quality pinion race 24599-40 or 24601-40 that's .010 oversize I tried eastern but not been able to get a good one concentricity been out as much as.009 has any one made sleeve to fit into the case to bring it back to std size of a new bushing
I had similar problems with Eastern 4 speed case bushings being made wrong. I found well made bushings from Bender Cycle (Eastlake OH). I wasn't able to find the part numbers you listed on Benders site, but it would be worth calling them or one of their retailers. In the past they have said they would make parts, but not sure if they still do that.
Jims USA has the part number listed in their catalog, but I only see .005 oversize.
Those cases are not very strong and being 80 years of heat cycles is not good either - i am not going to question your measuring but
then make a steel sleeve insert and green lock tite I like the stuff catapiller sell it wont move again but use the idea of 250 degrees to install the made sleeve and let cool one day then the 250 and do the race i would put a touch of blue on the end going in
