Default Pointless outer primary question

Obviously an electric start panhead quite some time ago. ( judging by the girl and the cars)

Note that it has a cast outer styled like a stamped cover from a kick start bike

Anyone remember such an animal ??

Aftermarket had an outer cover for Electric start primaries that looked like a stamped cover. Tedd's probably still sells that.

^ Good find.
Definitely stamped steel
The one in the pic looks cast, notice the distance of the bolt heads from the mating surface.
Either way, thanks for the info

I remember a cast one, but could not find it on Ted's site.

So this would fit OVER the cast cover just for decorative purposes? If not, what secures the starter shaft?

I always thought if you put the tin primary on an electric start bike you had to do away with the starter because there wasn't any provision in the cover for starter shaft support. Maybe this pic proves me wrong!
