Hey fellas, you all helped me out with my bad bendix issue, so I was hoping you could help me with a new issue. I had the bike on the life for about a week while waiting for my parts to arrive. Got it all buttoned up today, and after taking the bike for a 4-5 mile drive, she puked about 1/2 cup of oil from the primary, right at the screw under the foot board. I retightened everything, and the leak stopped. Took the bike for another short ride, and it did the same thing. It's doesn't leak oil while the engine is running, only for about 4 or 5 min. after I shut it down. I checked the primary screws and they were still tight. I expect usual spotting, but not this much oil. Thoughts??

It would help to know what kind of oil pump you have installed. You have oil pressure that is still building after you shut down your motor. Inspect the check valve ball and spring, the by-pass valve spring as well as the tappet screen. Weak springs? Check ball right size? Tappet screen dirty?
On e-start 65 models some oil is sent over to the primary chain for lubrication but is then sucked back into the tank. It wasn't the best designed system when introduced but it did replace the total loss system. Sealed primary wasn't that good of a seal so there might be a little bit of oil on the ground but if you are losing that much every time you stop you will run out of oil before you get very far down the road.
Thank panz, it was a combination of two factors you mentioned. My primary was leaking because I pinched the gasket when I reinstalled the cover, and my primary chain oilier was constantly flowing because there was debris keeping the tappet spring from working properly. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

My 65 pan is puking oil from the crankcase vent tube. Rings test ok, valves the same and i have not changed the timing of the oil scavenger breather. Anybody seen this before? its kickin about a quart per 2 hours highway run time.
