Sounds about what I paid for my copy as well.

From first look this kid has definitely got a nice piece on his hands; depending on casting numbers, finishes and such it could be close to stock...or not.

Hopefully he will ride it and not treat it like a museum piece.

At any rate my hat is off to anyone that takes the time to put old iron back on the road where it deserves to be...appreciated, respected, and with an understanding of its merits to what MoCo is all about.

Some great feedback here guys. That's why I signed up to this forum. Much appreciated.
My goal with this bike is to enjoy it on the open road. Over time I would like to learn about the history of the bike; who the original owner was and their story (if that's possible) and down the line of owners. I'm sure the bike has many stories, and that's what I look forward to the most; aside from riding it of course.

By no means am I claiming this bike is going to win originality awards.

Had some time to work on the bike this afternoon. Pulled the fuel filter. It was clean so I just opened the fuel valve and let some "older" gas flow out. Put it back together and she fired right up. She idled kinda rough for a few minutes. Backfired quite a few times. My next step is to pull the carb off and clean it. That should smooth it out.

I posted some more pics. I would love some feedback about what parts that you can see from the pics that may not be original. Like that chain guard..should it be black.

I took a look at the Palmer guide last night and it's a great read...pan **** for sure!!!

Thanks for the help!!

When I click on your pics the images are very small. Any chance you can use something like photobucket so that the pics are larger
