I recently finished my third ground-up rebuild of my 1949 EL that I have owned since 1982. The basic theme of the build was 'Old Fatboy'. I stayed with the original, unmolested frame, engine, tranny, oil tank, and triple trees. Forks, wheels, front brake and fender are 2003 Fatboy gear. Rear brake is GMA. Rear fender is Fatbob style. I also converted to foot shift / hand clutch.
