I am hoping someone will be able to help me. Heres a bit of backround on the situation. I bought my first harley a few months back, drove it for 3 days and the crank case craked, causing oil to shoot onto my exhaust pipes. Me and my Dad ripped the whole engine apart with the supervision of his best friend who has been a certified harley mechanic for 20+ years. I finally got the case back from harley, through a local shop in town.
So heres my actual problem... I figure since I have everything ripped apart right now, and the wisconsin winter is approaching, I decided to clean up everything and re-paint it. My buddy bead blasted my inner primary and I got some 500 degree ceramic enamel paint from O'rielys auto parts. It looks amazing but now the jugs and heads look old and out of place, so he is currently blasting both jugs and heads, and also the clutch cable housing on the side of the transmission.
I have prep spray, 500 degree primer, 500 degree gloss black paint, and 500 degree clear coat. I was wondering if anyone had any input as to how well this will work. I am going to try and get some pics posted on my profile if you want to check on progress. I will most likely be painting this week.
