Default prep and paint questions

So gonna paint the bike pretty soon just wondering the best way to go about preppin. mhave my options seem to be sanding, aircraft remover, or sandblasting or a combination (such as sanding then aircraft removal).I understand I need to sand the bare metal with 400-800 grit sandpaper to remove scratches.

After this I plan to do a few coats of primer, I've heard to sand in between each coat or should I just sand at the end, and is 400 grit ok for this?

After its all primer I'm kind of confused, do I need to wet sand the color before the clearcoat? And also can I put decals right over the color then spray with clear? Thanks in advance color will be black if that helps.

the grit you use depends on the depth of scratches you're trying to remove. better to use higher grit and not take off too much. worst case scenario, your arms are tired. if you want a better outcome, wet sanding in between coats is recommended. show finishes require you to wetsand after each application, including clear coats. i've done as many as 4 clear coats, with sanding in between each coat of clear. it removes that "orange peel" effect on the paint, and gives it a mirror smooth as glass finish

Thanks for that info, would 2 coats of each (primer, color, clear) be good?
