Default Compensator

Hello from England, I need to either strip and clean or replace the compensator on my 91 FLHS . It has had the rotor magnets disintergrate and the magnet bits are stuck between the shock absorber belville washers. Can it be stripped and the plates removed? Looks an easy enough thing to do if the plates are compressed and the outer cover staked / peemed over sections are flattened
Thanks.
Snooper.

Just bend the peened sections back open and you can remove the springs.

I guessed it would be possible but just needed confirmation. Thanks Bud.
