Odd problem
I have a custom with a strange problem. When I get on it hard from a standing start it feels like its jumping a tooth on the primary chain or drive belt. I have replaced the chain, belt, sprocket, pulley and shocks and it still does it. It will do it in 3 gears as long as I stay in it. Two bike shops have looked at it and are stumped. Anybody out there ever have this problem?

how meny gears in the tranny, and have you had a look inside the tranny? i know in my 4 speed there are 2 gears on one piece and two on another piece. my thoughts are if its a 6 speed you have three on one and theres a problem there on one of those which would explain why its only hapening in three gears. now i could be compleetly wrong im by no means an expert but thats what clicks in my head as a posibility, though the likelyhood of that also seems incredibly low. bring it up with some ppl though, it might be something and it might not.

My buddies bike was doing the same sort of thing.Turned out to be that the trans pulley was wore out some and with the horsepower his bike was making the belt actually was skipping.It started tearing the ridges off the belt.New pulley on the trans,rear and a new belt.It lasted all of six months before he was tearing it up again.Now he's running a chain final drive with no problems.

Thanks for the help, I will check the trans pulley. Now I have developed a real bad vibration and a knock ifI go above 2500 RPM. Wonder if the trans pulley might have something to do with that.
