So I just purchased an '09 Ultra Classic, and yesterday I noticed that when I let off of the throttle to decelerate, there is a noise accompanied by a "surging" for lack of a better description. The bike pulls good under a load, and start and shuts off without the massive clunk associated with compensator issues.
According to the records provided by the previous owner (who is now deceased ) he had replaced the compensator at 44,000 miles, along with the primary chain adjuster. It has also had the clutch rebuilt at 36,000 miles. It currently has 54,500-ish miles.
Anybody experienced the "surging" that I tried to describe?
