Angry Charging Problem

Hi! I'm new to this forum but I've been searching on this forum about everything for a long time! admin if this is not in the right fourm please move it.

Now i need help that no one has mentioned as far as i can tell. First, charging problem started this bike is new to me, 2000 Electra Glide Police EFI. i checked voltage at battery and i knew in my gut it was the stator/rotor. i pulled the primary case off and the nut was loose enough to take off with my hand. the rotor was stripped and going around the shaft in a oval shape. MAGNET TORE ALL TO PIECES!!! I replaced the stator rotor and rectifier. torque to specs and everything. crunk it up and ran fine for about 30 mins. then it lost all power to everything, i felt like it was the battery when its been fighting for its life. put a knew battery in it and ran fine for about an 1 1/2 hours. im getting 14.4 dc volts at the battery around 2000 rpms when its running but now its starting to die as soon as it starts. just like it did before i replaced the battery.
Now questions.... does it matter what wire off the stator goes into each side of the stator/rectifier plug? another problem i have is idle speed...idling at 5-800 rpms?? i turned the screw behind breather and adjusted it to 1k rpms. either way i know that didnt mess or fix the problem with voltage loss either way. when idling before adjustment voltage was at 10.5-11.5 when reved to 1k it jumped up to 14+.
Could the low rpms fried this battery too? I have a repair manual and everything but i need some advice.....

PLEASE HELP AS I WANT TO KEEP THIS BAD BOY!!!
THANK YOU ALL!!!

Instead of feelings, get out a meter and do some trouble shooting.

You going to junk your bad boy over charging issues?

I've checked literally everything you can with a volt meter... the rectifier has great voltage... with that being said the stator has great output as well!!! the only thing i can think of is the low idle is killing the batteries. at 500-700 rpm its only 9-10.5 volts at the battery and volts doesn't go up til you rev it. As said it idled great for about 30-45 minutes, thats why i say that the idle problem may be killing the battery because its not charging that low. BUT Its definitely not going to be junked.. someone will fix it, im not going to give up to easy. been fighting with everything for about a week and half now.

the system is a PMG and has a fixed rate and cannot be field forced like an alternator. that said, rpm is a necessity for it to charge. i would look at connections and grounds. the system will run off the PMG with the battery supplying the short fall so if the battery connections are not good and at low rpm, the PMG cannot supply enough current, it will die.
the output of the PMG is ac so wire position does not matter, just make sure the dc output of the regulator is in its proper place.

Set the idle to 1000 RPM. That is where TC should idle.. Don't let the motor idle for 30-45 minutes. You'll overheat the motor unless you have a fan on it.
