Default 2000 Electraglide not moving when in gear

Default 2000 Electra Glide issuesHey guys and gals. Not sure if this in the right area or not but here goes! I’ve got a 00 Electra Glide with roughly 14,5xx on it. Recently got front and back brake pads, back rotor and back tire. Before that, I had my local Harley shop replace I believe the ECM(check engine light came on and thats the code it spit out). Whoever test road it at Harley said that he thought the clutch might have been slipping. I’ve had the bike since October or so and that happened around February. Last Tuesday, I was riding in 5th gear around 75mph when all of a sudden my bike acted like it was in neutral. I pulled over to the side of the road, turned it off, then back on, put it in first and tried to take off. Only, the bike wouldn’t move. All it would do is roll.

I’m no mechanic. Friend looked at it and said that he thinks either the clutch went out or it’s something inside the transmission. Anybody have any ideas? It’s going to Harley tomorrow afternoon.

thanks all!!!

If you end up needing a clutch. I have one out of my old bike that I don’t need. You can have real cheap. It’s the whole clutch basket has about 1400 km on it not ml. I’ll give ya the chain with it also just in case yours is stretched.

E19 my friend,

What you described is exactly what happened to me in a police escorted ride of over 250 bikes.

It want up being the spline. You know the way the spline goes into the spline hub? Well the spline itself was worn down so much it could not grab the spline hub.

$900 later (this was about 6-7 years ago) it was fixed.

Best of luck my friend.
