Default Clutch not fully disengaging

Hey everyone I need some help. I have a 15 SG with 85000 miles on it, I was riding and completely lost all clutch, got it home and found a pinhole in the line. Replaced that added all new fluid made sure to get all the air out and now with the clutch pulled in drop it into first it tries to take off. Replaced the clutch with the Barnett extra plate ( it was getting close to time anyways) and replaced seals while it was already apart. Still had a slight pull but not bad, rode it about 5 mile to get fuel and right back to square one. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Keep bleeding. Measure the throw-out and compare to the specs in your FSM.

the throw out is good and I left the clutch tied in over night to make sure it wasn’t leaking down it was still good the next afternoon.

If the clutch was dragging badly before you replaced the plates then Dan is correct.. You need to get better at bleeding the clutch. If the issue occured in conjunction clutch change, make sure that the clutch was installed correctly. +1 clutches need the damping spring and spacer removed. It's also possible that the kit has bent steels.

the spring and spacer were both removed, and I’ve bled and reverse bled multiple times just in case with no change. it creeps a little cold can’t hold it once it gets warm.

Well the next thing you need to do is measure the lift of the pressure plate. It needs to be over 0.080"

Default Update

Just an update in case anyone is following, while rebuilding the master cylinder I discovered the roller on the clutch lever was badly malformed and was the cause of the problems
