Have you looked at getting a 5 speed in a 4 speed box? They sell them out there. It is a bit pricey, but this would be a better fix than changing your ratios.
Great information, thanks. I imagine the math is different for the front sprocket? It looks like the 49T would only give me about 2.5mph improvement.
The bike seems perfectly happy at 65 all day. The RPMs seems happy and the exhaust note is just right. If I get it up to 70, it feels like I am starting to push the bike kind of hard. I don't have a Tach so I don't know. Maybe I will look into getting one so I can monitor the RPMs. I think about 4000 is a good cruising range? can anyone verify this?
