Default Pushrod/throw out bearing question

Hi all. Well I lost a belt this weekend on my 93 FLHS. When I heard the hours of labor I'd be charged to change it I've decided to take the job on myself. So here's my question. While removing the primary and pulling the clutch adjustment screw/locknut the Pushrod pulled right out with it. Does this mean I need to pull the right side tranny cover and find the retaining ring, two washers, and throw out bearing? Or is there something there to keep them in place so that I can just put the Pushrod back in just as easy as it came out?

The throw out bearing is on a separate rod. Now you said that it came out with the adjuster screw, it should not be attached it's not welded together is it? The center rod just floats between the throw out rod and the adjuster screw.

Yeah, for some reason when I pulled out the adjustment screw the rod was kind of "stuck" to it. It's definitely not welded together, I pulled them apart and slid the rod back in. I had just read somewhere that if the rod pulled out it would cause the retaining ring and throwout bearing to fall in to the side cover of the tranny on the other side. Looking at the service manual that didn't appear to be the case but thought I'd check just to be sure. Didn't want to cause any extra work pulling the other side off if I don't need to. Thanks for the response!!
