Just got the new HD Ventura mesh jacket!! It is totally awsome!! BUT it's hard to find and hard to find in silver MUCH cooler than the all black that most dealers seem to have, if they have any!! It's all mesh AND it has pockets for the HD armor. There are a couple of mesh type HD's already with the armor, but this jacket is better and still cheaper if you buy the armor separate. The jacket was only $89 and the armor was $25. The best thing though is that it looks good and has very little "black" on it. I don't care if it's mesh or what, it's crazy to wear black in the summer! You'll fry in slow traffic! Ever wear a black t-shirt in the hot sun? Not fun.
It's hard to find, but Jenny at Santa Maria Harley Davidson has some and she can ship them out cheap. She might even give you a discount... if you ask nice But hurry!!, I understand they are another of their limited run items. http://www.harley-davidson.com/mcm/m...bmLocale=en_US
been to the hd-store and tried it on and looks good..did not have the pads available/in stock..is the $25 for shoulders and elbows? employ was unsure ...did notice no armor pocket for the spine available.
I believe it's $25 for pack of two. They are used for elbow or shoulder. Very comfortable and light weight. Even at $89 + $50 your way under most HD jackets, even the other mesh. I think the FRG just trys to do too much with one jacket and it's expensive. Have not seen anything HD in the way of back protection, but they are out there in the sport/dirt bike world. You could wear it separate underneath or might be easy to have attached to the jacket some how. I may look into that myself. Would be nice to have something that's cool for summer, WITH protection and looks good.
