Living and riding in Central Texas more often than not I use the HD summer gloves. However now that the fall finally arrived I am looking to get a pair of waterproof gloves that will handle the cooler, abve 30, weather we have here most of the time. I have seen the extreme cold weather gear and just do not need that much. Any assistance you folks can provide would be a great help. It doesn't have to be HD either, I love myUltra Clasicbut understand there is other riding gear out there that might be better.
Since moving to Seattle in the past year, I've bought 4 pair of gauntlet gloves (one battery heated), 3 pair of inserts, and even the stupid yellow dishwashing gloves I bought at a gas station when I was soaked halfway riding home. The counter lady had to mop the floor behind me. I found the answer. even in weather down to 40 I only need my HD waterproof gloves: gauntlet with the HD logo on the top. http://www.harley-davidson.com/mcm/m...bmLocale=en_US
Still looking for decent priced heated gloves. They must have their own 8 hour recharge battery, and weather proof heated fingers. I don't want heated grips, or connection to the bike battery.
Get yourself some Glacier Gloves. Waterproof, sold to icefishermen. Don't advise wearing them when it's over 40, your hands will sweat from being too hot. I know from cold - lived in Minnesota for 40 years.
