He was/is a bit of an American Icon. He came on everyday around noon I think for a few minutes, and I can't remember now, but he might have come on more than once a day with...doesn't really matter.
Anyway, he would find some well known bit of knowledge, and then tell you the "rest of the story." It usually included a funny quip, or some really odd information...I can't think of an example, but it might be something like, "Axle Rose, lead singer of Guns N Roses has a great voice." Blah blah blah, and then at the end he would tell you that he studied opera, won a bunch of awards, and "Now, you know the rest of the story." (That wasn't one of his stories, I just know that Axle Rose studied opera, did drugs, and partied like noone's business - no idea on the opera awards.)
He had a great grandfatherly voice, and you more or less felt like you were sitting in your grandparents home, listening to them tell you about life during the great depression.
He really wasn't annoying, rather a very interesting man, with interesting stories.

Ah, ok. Just someone compared him to rush limbaugh, and I find that guy EXTREMELY annoying! (no to mention hypocritical)
Paul Harvey was interesting to listen to, not really on long enough to annoy. Was interesting becasue he would do a little factoid you didn't know about something you thought you knew.
I just bought a flat black one a week ago. I love it. It is very light,so much in fact I can barely feel it. As for the chin strap comments I dont know why someone would think it is any different than any other helmet. The only thing I dont like is the buckle, but it is strong. My other half helmet is a hjc which has been very good but I wanted a DOT approved helmet that was smaller. The other nice thing with these helmets is they are available in half sizes. Mine is a M+ which is why it fits well. I am a hard fit.
I bought a helmet from www.carbonfiberhelmets.com last year before they had a choice of DOT approved helmets. Mine is 16 oz. and is great! I Just went to the site and they have a choice now if you want thicker padding (DOT), or thin padding (non DOT). This helmet fits in my saddlebags w/room to spare. Its the only helmet I want to wear and YES I would buy the same one again! Hope this helps someone![sm=gears.gif]
I am very happy with my Vega 1/2 helmet. No "mushroom head" look, does not parachute, and only costs 50 bucks. Here is a picture of my friend (on the left) with his NXT helmet and me with the Vega. It is hard to tell the difference and the NXT is only a little bit lighter.
well i dont know about any one else but as with everything some things work great for one person and terrible for another. ive had a a nxt helmet for several year now and i would never own anything else. i ride everryday and abuse it well and it has stood up great as far a lift off i have had no problems with this. this is the most comftorble helmet ive ever had. i wear a schempa beanie rag under it and i could ride with out it buckled. also i dont even notice the straps. i spent about an hour when i bought it and tryed alot of differant sizes on until it fit perfect.
I have a NXT half shell, as does my wife, She does not like it as it feels like it is blowing around on her head. Mine is fine after I reshaped the inside with a rubber mallet. They are more round than oblong. Now it works fine and I like the clip chin strap.
