Default LaRosa mufflers

Just put on a new set of LaRosa mufflers I got on ebay. Very inexpensive with free shipping (I live in Hawaii)...so far I love this set of mufflers. The sound is a big improvement over my V&H mufflers. There is a seat-of-the-pants increase of power that is noticeable. They only came in chrome though and I am moving towards the black out look so I sanded them down a little and painted with BBQ paint. The ones I got are the turn down type.

Good to hear, I saw them on eBay but was wondering why they were so cheap. Are they raspy (glass pack) sounding or is it a deeper throaty sound?

To me they sound pretty throaty and deep, a big improvement over my V&H. They sound like race pipes at around 4 grand...best sounding pipes I have heard. When just tooling around they aren't too loud either. 2 problems I have noticed are they didn't come with any hardware, so I put stainless carriage bolts on to attach and the mount is one solid piece unlike the stockers. So I will cut out the center portion when I get the gumption up to get them ceramic coated. Overall every bit worth the $200. I have bought a couple of other things off the LaRosa website and have been happy with the other purchases also.

Also watch out for the type you buy. I bought the original, but they also have what they call Raw Power. The Raw Power doesn't have a baffle I believe.

Hey MC,
Thanks for your service . Are the baffles the 1 3/8in or do they have different size baffles (besides none)?
Thanks

I just ordered a pair for my FLHT. How do you mount the dang things. I was just expecting to bolt them on like my other mufflers. Carriage bolts. I dint want to sound dumb but could you describe the mounting better?

Thanks,
