Default Natchez Trace

A buddy and I are looking at getting our bikes shipped from Fl to Nashville and riding the trace and then back home. Does anyone know of a place in Nashville where you can ship and store bikes.

Check "S and G Custom Cycles" in Columbia, TN. They have been in business since 1973, great people, very trustworthy. They build custom choppers as well as servicing Harleys, their mechanics are factory certified. Also their location is not too far from the beginning of the Trace. (931-380-0202) ask for Sam Goodman (owner)

Hey all,

What is Natchez Trace??

I got a group from East PA/South NJ riding on touring bikes to Pigeon Forge TN and then to Nashville for a week-long road trip soon. About 6 bikes going...all bros this time. A friend has some knowledge of the Pigeon Forge area (Tail of the Dragon, etc., Smokey Mountain Park, etc).

Can anyone recommend some good roads/attractions/things to do on this trip, and in Nashville? We're planning to spend a couple days in the Pigeon Forge area first and do some mountain riding, and then a couple days in Nashville, and then returning through Kentucky on to Morgantown, WV, and then east back to PA and NJ. We like to ride most of the day and see the sights/points of interest, and then spend the eves at a good roadhouse/restaurant for some bourbon/beers and good food.

Any recommendations? Thanks...

The Natchez Trace basically runs between Nashville, TN and Natchez, MS.
A nice, scenic ride, but I'd think it may be a little too far south and west for a week long ride from your location.
Just a suggestion, but I think you may want to take a look into the Skyline Drive (Front Royal, VA to Waynesboro, VA) and then onto the Blue Ridge Parkway (Waynesboro, VA to Asheville, NC) which would run you near the Great Smokey Mtn. Nat'l Park, Maggie Valley, and Cherokee, NC.
If you get to Maggie Valley, be sure to check out the Wheels Thru Time Museum (check ahead for their hours/days of operation).
All of this is close to the "Tail of the Dragon" and other great roads for bikes.

Just a recommendation, but if I were doing a week long ride from south NJ to the Smoky Mountains and then a couple of days in Nashville, I'd skip Nashville and go to Chattanooga instead.
