A date of August 10-17 has been set for the HD Forums Green Chili Run. This ride will be a trip over all the 10,000 + passes in Colorado that are paved. There are 22 of them, and there will also be a ride to the top of Mt. Evans (Highest paved road in US) and Pike's Peak. We call it "Haul *** For The Pass".
We have done this ride before and it is a challenge as well as being one of the most scenic and fun rides anyone could take.
I am going to have Terry pin this in the Southwest area.
I would like for people that think they might go to start letting me know so I can start planning for lodging.
Shucks Bill, thats the very week after Sturgis. By then I should be somewhere inside Yellowstone National Park headed back in the general direction of New Mexico. Maybe next time.
how many of the passes ya planning on doin in a days time?
Depends on the locations. Some are real close together and others are spread out. The first day will get 4 just because of the lay of the land and availability of places to stay.
Around Denver there are a bunch of them that are within 50 miles of each other.
Sounds good to me leaving Chicago on 8/08 to meet you on the tenth.
Just say where
We'll meet in Bloomfield, NM. There are two good motels in town, a Super 8 and a BW. I should be able go get a group rate that will save everyone a little. I'll have all the info on that as the time gets closer.
