I would pick out the Nat'l Parks that interest me and then connect them with scenic routes (the word "pass" is a bonus). Ask locals along the way for must see locations.

and Amex with Allstate taking care of any roadside assistance (I think that should about cover it; and yes, it does take up all my swing arm tool-bag and a bit more in the saddlebags (x-tra fuel, rope, oil, and fix-a-flat). But when I go 'for a ride' it's for more than a week at least..
