Planning to be in Franklin Nc area in about 2 weeks ,is there anyone in that area that can tell me what kind of Riding Conditions i could expect ? Looking at riding in the old hyway 64 area .any suggestions would be Great ,Thanks
Hey 28 north or south ( moonshiners hwy), also Wayah rd....take old Murphy rd, west until you see an old country store at an intersection, that is Wayah rd 1310 I think.".take it.... Mid way to Andrews you can stop to eat at Lakes end cabins on the lake ...it's a hole in the wall so you might miss it....Other than those 2 roads there are so many to enjoy....
I can tell you that being a transplanted Canadian myself , you will love the roads, don't over ride your abilities because the switchbacks come at you very quickly.....Might be a bit cold, dress in layers, when you get to the mountain tops it can get very cold....The smokies have their own weather system.
