I leave Monday on my annual 2 week bike trip. This year I have one objective, to get to the Harley Museum in Milwaukee. I try to avoid freeways and take all the scenic roads I can find in route. However, after looking at maps, I can't find but one scenic stretch of road after I get through Glacier Park in Montana when I go though Eastern Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. I want to stay North because I have never ridden through North Dakota, Minnesota or Wisconsin. On the way back, once I hit South Dakota I have scenic roads the rest of the way home. I've attached a link to my tentative route (click on view/edit route to zoom in). I would welcome any suggestions for good riding on the way East while staying North. http://rideplanner.harley-davidson.c...r/share/734633
Nice trip...you are hitting all of the "must do, one in a lifetime roads" i wouldn't drop down to Omaha...straight to Sioux City and west through the indian reservations to Rapid city...
You will love the Big horns, red Lodge, and Beartooth...as well as Glacier National Park......dress warm it gets mighty cold up there....
Safe travels.

Tanks for the tip. The reason I'm dropping down to Omaha is because I've never been there. Another city/state to scratch off my list. I made it to Bismark, ND today. So far (1500 miles) have been uneventful. A little on the cool side in the mountains but that's what the heated gear is for
