Just wondering if anyone else shares this joy and perhaps has come across an effective treatment that doesn't require help from a medical professional? Any over-the-counter remedies?
A couple of years ago I was having some pain in my leg I didn't associate with spine/back problems. Then I started having trouble picking up my feet and I was tripping and falling a lot. People had to pick me up off the floor of a restaurant, an auto part store, and a sidewalk in front of a business. One day I fell up the front steps and put my head through the storm door.
Diagnosed with stenosis/herniated disk and started thinking about surgery. Doctor told me to use Alleve for the pain and I was taking the max dose every day. I got progressively better, bought a new bagger (Dr. was against that idea) First long trip was an 11 hour ride to Florida and my back was fine down and back and the whole time I was riding down there.
It could have been the beer and tequila, but I'm pretty sure it was Alleve. BTW, I do have a back rest on the bike, I just don't know if that makes any difference.
