The Journeys of Darla ....
After coffee and fuel, i head up towards Chief Jospeh, I took a few picts, posted a few up, and then got to very short construction delay. I always turn off the engine, but not always the key. The traffics starts to move, and I go to start up the bike... notta...jilch...squat.... not a noise of any kind. Ok, so I fiddle with the switches a bit, still nothing. I turn the key off and back on.... nothing.... I keep playing with the buttons, and then it starts. Meanwhile all the cars behind me have passed me and the flagger is waiting. So I get going and apologize to the fellow and continue on up the hill to the top.
I stop up there and shut it down, going to see if it will start. Same thing happens again. So I go down the hill and start up The Beartooth. I stop in a good spot and try again. Same thing all over again. Well she starts up, that is about 9 or so thins morning, and I dont shut it off again until I parked in the motel in Great Falls. Not even for gas. So it ran for about 9 hours.
Often I stop on steep places to take picts, but of course, now I dont have the luxury of having it in gear, so It hurt my picture count today significantly. Also, as I said, i did not want to get too far away from cell service or a dealership so I was unable to go over the Little Belt Mountains, and no Run To The Sun tomorrow either. I will head straight up to the border and get on the Canadian side so if I have an issue I can deal with it in Canadian dollars.
The good news is, I just tried it, and she flashed right up. So all i need to do i to get her to start once. And if they get snotty, another time at the border.
I did get some picts in.....
I am wondering if it is a quality control issue.
Tomorrow is a straight run for home, I will update as I can.
Later...

I am wondering if it is a quality control issue.
