Somebody in Creston, which is 60 miles West through the valley bottoms and up and over one small hill, owed me some money, so I went and fetched it today, mostly for the ride....
Rode by movie lake...
... got my moola, and went for fish and chips...
... stopped about 1/2 way back at Irishman creek for a picture of the original horse and wagon road, The Dewdney Trail... to the right....
.... wrestled with Darla in the loose gravel to do it, and took a picture of the Highway looking back the way I came..... an enjoyable 3 hours.
When you get to Cody, just south of the gunfight is the best food in town.We both had the ribs and brisket plate and each plate was enough for 2 meals, delicious!
Went into the shop today, and they didn’t get the draw for the Custom Paint set..... oh well, it is back to Plan A, a PanAmerican ADV.... but no decision will be made until I sit on one and so how the seat hight is..... anyway, loaded up and ready to head South tomorrow morning....
Just need to put in a few last items and heading out in the morning.
Its been a bit since I have had an AVD, and would like to get back into it.
That new Pan America could be a fine bike and I hope it is. Probably cover the same type ground as a BMW 1250GS......fine on the highway and fun on the logging roads and fire roads we have here in the West, but might be a real handful on single track/enduro stuff. Always thought if I could, Id like to have one of those 1250 GS bikes...great power, handling, and versatility. But then Id have to go out and buy a bunch of that Klim gear and the $ add up quickly.
