I am renting a Road Glide to see if it's the bike I want. I live in central Texas and am looking for suggestions on a day ride, somewhere to spend the night, then head back. East Texas and panhandle is a little bit cooler right now (temperature wise) so that would be nice.
when I lived-in that corner of the world, we did a lot of great little FMs between Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend. Gonna guess those hills continue west of Sam Ray.... Lufkin, Crockett. Lot of hotels in Lufkin Area. A few little touristy places to stop over there too
Ya may want to get on a big slab road tho and do them 70ish mph speed limits y'all got for a while... just to see, check out the cruise control
