I've had more deer run in front of me in the day time than I can remember, this season alone....not to mention turkeys, squirrel's, raccoons, a low flying hawk and two low flying turkey vultures. A couple of weeks ago I topped a small hill and interrupted two 'buzzards.' Glad they each picked a trajectory180 degrees from each other and off to the sides of the road. I was able to go between, with not much room to spare.

The wife was with me when one abandoned it's lunch and flew up in front of us....and it was eye level, flying right in front of us. We had to slow down as not to ride ride into it's tail feather. I swear I could have grabbed it.
