That's the way it goes. On a trip like that, EVERYBODY is going "next year". 9 months out, everybody MIGHT be TRYING to go. 6 months out, everybody would LOVE to go, but they'll let you know. When it's time for kickstands to go up, it's a short list.
I'll be rolling out of Columbus on Friday. Two bikes, one support vehicle. We'll be rolling into Sturgis on Sunday.
I know the feeling.....said "f it" and riding solo. I'm not going to wait for next year.
Leaving Maryland tomorrow afternoon and getting to Glencoe on Saturday night. Looking forward to Kid Rock at the Chip on Sunday.
Most of my trips go that way. Everybody is in a year ahead. 6 months out and we are down to half. the month before half of those are gone too. Right before it is down to 2. I am leaving Saturday. The one that is left to go with me better not back out. He has the RV.
I am leaving Detroit on Friday before noon, and hope to make it to Omaha before midnight. Crashing for the night and making it to Glencoe by Saturday afternoon. That is the plan as long as I can beat out the thunder storms that are heading in this direction.
