Great pics and info! I want to plan a trip out there.
How many miles were you driving a day?
it would vary depending on what we were doing that day. I believe we didn't do more then 450 miles on any day. That was really on the way out and back in. On days where we were exploring it was more like 200 or so. The longest we did from cody was down to Jackson hole and back. It's 177 miles one way. That was a long day.
We try to never go over 500 miles on any given day. After that it's a little tiring. But that just us.
As we returned from Jackson I knew we only had a short time left in Yellowstone. The Beauty of this area is beyond compare. We would ride one more day through the park, then one last ride through my favorite area. I could just not get enough of Lamar Valley.
After that we would ride Chief Joseph HYW. Saturday Morning we were up Early e
heading east. We decided instead of a direct ride home we would head through Custer National Park. We have never been to this area as well. So its on the schedule to return and make a week out of it. I really don't like crowds to much so it wont be during bike week. The pictures that follow are our last few days on our Trip.
We logged 4,146 miles and to date this is the longest trip we have taken. We had no problems with the bike and only pulled out the rain gear once. Didn't even get wet.
I guess if I do this trip again I may stay closer to the park. a 72 mile ride every day just to Fishing bridge was a long trek just to get started. Plus we really didn't get to see much of Jackson or the Tetons......MIke
