Wind therapy.
Laundry day. I'll call this the spin cycle.
Lowden State Park.
Blackhawk.
The Rock River.
There's another Harley to the right.
Grand Detour, on Rt2.
Home of John Deere....and this guy.
I've been by this plaque 1000's of times....today I stopped and learned a little history.
Didn't even know this plaque was there.
This one either.
Grabbed a little snack just before pulling into the rest area.
Pretty day on the Rock River.
Kayaking would have been fun.
A gorgeous day.
Typical glamour shot.
Time to get that last load out of the dryer.
First up, the Night Rod.
Stopped by Barbedwire Harley-Davidson. The place has gone downhill since the new ownership took over.
Was out for about 2 hours, but went home to see what the wife wanted to do after work.
She wanted to go to her sisters, i said bye.
This seemed like a better idea.
The park was empty.
This place is packed every weekend, so this was really nice.
Leaving to hit the twisties. No pics there.
In Seneca along the Illinois River.
Stopped in Marseilles and waited for the sun to set a bit more, as it was right in my eyes.
Headed home, northbound.
I love riding as the sun sets.
Using my hands free device....lol.
I this this was the most night riding I've done this year. It was a good Friday Rideday.
A little ride to dinner.
Portillo's, in Sycamore, sounded good.
It was National Eat Outside Day, so why not?
Headed back west, up and around the Rockford Airport, to head down the Rock River at sunset.
Very calming.
No boats.
It was cooling down as well.
The leaves will be a changing sooner than I'd like.
Would have been a good night for a kayak trip.
The bugs were relentless once the sun went down, but I really enjoyed my ride. Every time I ride the Night Rod in the dark I wish it had an LED headlight. I should work on that.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Got in a ride before I leave on my Jeep trip.
Headed up to Wisconsin wine country.
Apparently it was Winesday.
Shes done several tastings here. I guess it never gets old...lol.
Day turn to night on the way home.
I should have gone around the block a few times.
