Agree on Hwy 36... interesting.
But, isn't there a large ball of twine in Kansas?

Only my opinion, but it your destination is Colorado, there is absolutely no reason to explore Kansas. Not dissing Kansas as most of Texas is the same ole ****, but Colorado is an adventure on a motorcycle.

We are hitting Colorado Springs & Estes Park then moving on to the Tetons and Yellowstone then home through SD with a ride through the badlands.

If you can make it through Dubuque IA it's worth it. People normally don't think of Dubuque as a tourist destination, but it's pretty cool. The wife and I "discovered" the area a few years ago while driving along the Mississippi River. It has an old downtown area with lots of shop and some cool old buildings, and believe it or not...there are some good motorcycle roads in the area. Head to Galena IL across the river about 20 miles, too. Very interesting town with a restored Main Street.
