what navigation are you using

I am happy with my Harley nav. It's true it doesn't take more than 20 waypoints. I save my trip in stages and it works out fine. Just don't out your whole trip in at once. For backup I use Google maps. ..If u are I. Cell phone fringe areas download maps on Google in advance . But it's easy to break up your trip in stages on Harley ride planner

Me too. Free from AAA, if you are a member. No batteries, no wifi, no cell service, no problem.
Edited to add - Butler Motorcycle Maps! Designed by and specifically for motorcyclists. Describes road conditions, elevation changes, and more. They are sturdy and water resistant. Well worth the money.

My advice to you would be to contact your provider & buy an international addition to your plan. I did this when I was in Montreal & later in Hinkley, England (visited Triumph!). If I remember correctly, I paid AT&T $30 for 4G coverage in Canada for two weeks. Totally worth it to be able to use my phone like a normal person & not "budget" my "air time."
