A group of us tries to go a couple times a month from May thru September and we like to stay at the Mineral Palace in Deadwood. To me your more in the middle of all the action with great roads/rides and lots to do. Plus you can park your bike under the rear overhang with some security watching it at times. To each their own tho!! Have fun!

Full disclosure: They are relatives of mine, but they have great accomodations and will steer you in the right direction even if you don't use them.
Hill City is in the middle of the Hills and is a great place to get to anywhere around from.
