We usually do a 3 day Lake George trip each year, try riding 9 to Warrensburg to 28 turn on 28n ride to Long Lake area then loop back on 28 and take 8 over to 9 n back down to Lake George ,it’s not an all day ride but scenic and twisty in some areas.
Enjoy ,nice area
North to Ticonderoga, take the ferry to Vermont and take 30 either north or south...nice ride. Also check out skyline Rd....longest privately owned road...they have website. There's tons of little County routes that you can zig zag back and forth on all over the place between Vermont and new York that are great riding. Look me up when you're coming...it's my backyard

Thanks, all! I hear you on NY. I was resistant due to CC laws. It will, however, give us a good "bang for the buck" (see what I did there?) in a 4 day period. I'll be sure to look into all the suggestions!
