We stayed in the Big Bear Motel on the West side of Cody last June. Clean and quiet. We walked to a very good steak house a little bit back toward town and across the street from the motel for dinner. The motel was very convenient for us as we left the next morning headed out to the east entrance to Yellowstone Park.

Whether you stay there or not, you need to go get a drink there just to see the bar. Google the history of the bar.

I stayed at the Cody Holiday Lodge across from the rodeo grounds, West end of town. Nicely remodeled older motel for under $140, that is almost cheap for Cody. Park your bike right at the front door.

Ridden through Cody often and know it’s an expensive place to stay. One year I decided to save a few bucks and booked the Wigwam Motel. Holy crap, what a scroungy dump. It was too late to say screw it and hung in there. Less stoked than usual to begin my ride up Chief Joseph Hwy and over Beartooth to Red Lodge the next morning. That chithole is 1 star on a good day. Totally my own fault, I should know better.

Everything in Cody looked really nice. We stayed at the KOA there last summer in one of their little cabins because it was cheaper. The place was ok, but we will probably not be staying at a KOA again. It was more like sleeping in the middle of a gravel parking lot than it was "camping" or staying in a cabin. Plus the beds in the cabin were awful.

I've stayed at the Beartooth Inn, four years ago it was $125 a night. Clean and comfortable with laundry and a breakfast buffet.

We will be in Cody in the middle of June for 3 nights. Staying at the Big Bear and from what I read sounds good.
