Heading to Kentucky March 24 till April 1. Looking for a good base camp area and riding area. Interested in points of interest and riding routes. The weather is giving a forecast of rain the first half. Is the weather this time of the year misty all day or a small shower and clears up ?

How long are you going to be riding there ? What part of KY?
The area just South of Paducah and the Land between the lakes is a nice ride. Small town
Cadize is close to what is called land between the lakes Trace. Not a long ride but interesting. From there ride East is well worth it. A ride along the river front in Paducah ,provides some interesting sights.
You are also near Murry KY home of Hannagan side cars/ Trikes among the best there is.
Fairview, KY 351-foot obelisk built to honor Jefferson Davis
End of March can weather can still be a cool ride, expect some rain. Pack some warm gear. And enjoy your ride.
This time of year, our weather is all over the place. Last week, we had temps nearing 70 on 2 days, then this Tuesday we got 9 inches of snow. Pack warm, you'll need it. Pack rain gear, you'll need that too. There's great riding all across the state.
Eastern KY is where its at!!!!
Natural Bridge has a lodge you can stay there and ride all over the hills.
agree.. grew up louisville area... been all over... west Ky is butt ugly for most part...east and south of lexington is fantastic... focus around daniel boone forest from red river gorge down toward burnside lake cumberland area and over to tunnel... super beautiful especially when trees are full... little cold and some cloudy thru early april
S.E KY. is great, probably get a lot of rain, cool at night esp., when i go in the summer, everything is wet in the am, i cover seat with a towel, or something, cuz of dew Cumberland falls is good riding, 25 to the tunnel, and anything in between, Got family in frakes,ky, just be careful of the centerline, some people like to r
drive on your side going around curves , at least where i go
