Memorial Day 2017. Yea, delayed posting but it was a nice trip. I live in San Diego so I only made a couple days out of it. Day 1 was the afternoon up, no big deal there.
Loaded up in Barstow at the Hampton Hwy 127 Me More of the 127.
Hwy 178 had a ROAD CLOSED sign way back by the 127, but I wanted to investigate since ROAD CLOSED doesn't mean the same thing for motorcycles. While I was waiting there some young rabbelrouser in a white truck came up thru the closed section and gave me some good info about why it's closed. Yea, I went. I did get a little freaked out when I realized NOBODY would help me if something happened. No cell signal, no traffic... My sentiments Badwater

I called it a shithole because I was immediately approached by a methhead when I stopped for gas. Literally, not 30 seconds after taking my helmet off she started some bullshit story about needing cash to .... I just looked at her and said GTF outta here!
Not sure, haven't been back and Google Maps doesn't show the closure
Yup, I ride ATGATT (all the gear all the time). I did have all the vents open, and I do have a mesh jacket for hot summer days. I had that jacket because the mornings were cool.
